High School Senior Craft Education Scholarship

Introduction The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, Inc. offers the NH High School Senior Craft Education Scholarship Program, overseen by the League’s Education Committee. This program provides supplemental financial aid to high school seniors who plan to continue their education in craft-related fields. Who may apply High school seniors who reside in New Hampshire or within ten miles of the state border are eligible to apply. The selection process is competitive; applicants should propose focused, intensive learning experiences that demonstrate creative approaches to craft education. Purpose and priorities The Education Committee seeks to fund projects and programs that aim to: - Prepare students for the demands of a career as a professional craftsperson - Foster a deeper personal commitment to a specific craft discipline - Broaden understanding of craft-related subjects, such as design or aesthetics - Improve existing skills or teach new techniques within a craft medium - Stimulate and develop individual creativity Application timeline and award process Completed applications must be submitted by April 1. A Scholarship Panel will evaluate all submissions and forward recommendations to the Education Committee. Scholarship funds will be distributed in June.
