Granite Edvance Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Granite Edvance
A total of $500,000 in scholarships will be awarded to new and returning NH undergraduate students.
Scholarships will be awarded in five categories in the following amounts:
- $5,000 (for awardees enrolled in a four-year degree program)
- $2,500 (for awardees enrolled in a two-year degree program), and
- $1,000 (for awardees enrolled in a certificate/trade program).
New this year: A scholarship opportunity for first-year students and students enrolled in Title IV-eligible certificate/trade programs!
Eligibility Requirements
In order to be eligible for a Granite Edvance Scholarship, you must meet all of these criteria:
- Be a NH resident attending a certificate program, two-year, or four-year college or university in New Hampshire or out of state. All institutions must be Title IV eligible.
- Be enrolled at least half time pursuing a certificate, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree in fall 2024
- Demonstrate financial need*
- Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher when you apply
Please note: Prior Granite Edvance (formerly NHHEAF) Scholarship recipients are welcome to reapply.
*Financial need will be demonstrated by Student Aid Index from the FAFSA or, if unavailable, household income and size.
Available Scholarships
First-Year and/or Certificate Program Students (starting classes in fall 2024): Please submit an essay explaining why continuing your education is important to you.
First-year and certificate program students will also be required to submit a letter of recommendation from a non-family member (letters used for college applications are acceptable).
Returning College Students:
You may apply for multiple scholarships but will only be eligible to receive ONE.
- The Community Service Scholarship: Submit an essay showing your commitment to community service through extracurricular activities, employment, volunteer work, etc.
- The Academic Excellence Scholarship: Submit an essay describing your academic accomplishments. GPA will be considered strongly for this scholarship.
- The Leadership Scholarship: Submit an essay showing your leadership abilities, and/or your commitment to developing leadership skills through your academic program, extracurricular activities, employment, volunteer work, etc.
- The Opportunity Scholarship: This scholarship is for first-generation college students. Submit an essay demonstrating how you have created opportunity for yourself, and what a college education means to you.
