Worthy Goal Scholarship

Overview
The IFSEA Worthy Goal Scholarship provides annual awards ranging from $500 to $2,500 to students pursuing accredited degrees in food service, hospitality, or closely related fields at institutions of higher education. Funds may be applied toward tuition and other required fees associated with an accredited Food Service or Hospitality Management program. Scholarships are granted each Spring for the upcoming Fall semester.
Purpose
The Worthy Goal Scholarship exists to support promising students receiving post–high school education or vocational training in hospitality and foodservice management. IFSEA aims to assist in advancing the education and careers of the next generation of industry professionals.
Eligibility
- Must be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student at an accredited two- or four-year college or university for the upcoming Fall term.
- “Full-time” follows the Federal Financial Aid Guidelines.
- Degree program must be in hospitality management, food service, or a closely related area.
- IFSEA membership is not required to apply; current IFSEA members may, however, be listed as recommenders.
Application deadline
All applications must be received by March 31. Candidates who wish to be considered in subsequent years must submit a new application each year.
Award announcement and timing
Recipients are selected and the scholarship is announced no later than Spring for the following Fall semester.

Prepare the requested documents in either Word or PDF format and upload them as part of the application. Keep file sizes small.
Financial forms
You must download, complete, and upload two financial forms available at IFSEA.org. Save these forms as Word documents or PDFs before attaching them to your application.
Notes
- The award amount per recipient ranges from $500 to $2,500 annually.
- Scholarships are intended for payment of tuition and other mandatory fees related to an accredited Food Service or Hospitality Management degree.
